In-line with government guidance, we will be hosting wedding ceremonies and receptions and a range of other celebrations such as birthday or anniversary parties or hen dos, for up to 30 people at our venue from 1st August 2020.

Since the cornerstone of the government guidelines on safe gatherings is social distancing, we are quickly looking to adapt our venue in every way we can to ensure the safety of everyone involved. We are really fortunate to have a variety of expansive and beautiful outdoor places and spaces at our disposal, which are ideal for adhering to the social distancing guidelines, and to be able to offer all sorts of safe options for your ceremony and reception or celebration.
So, whether you’re looking for a more formal affair using our purpose built Wedding Pavilion, or something more relaxed at The Willow Trees, don’t hesitate to contact us now to have a chat about the best way to start planning and preparing for your event. If you had planned and/or booked to use an indoor space for any part of your celebration then please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss how we can tweak your plans to ensure that they are safe and in-line with the official guidance.
Pending further information from the government, we are keeping everything crossed that larger events should be permitted from October 2020, with the intention that things should be returning to normal by Christmas at the latest. We will keep you in the loop on this as and when we know more.
On a side note, we’d like to say a big ‘thank you’ to all of you who have already written to your local MPs and joined the #whataboutweddings campaign, which has certainly helped to ensure then many wedding venues like ours haven’t been forgotten.
Please note:
We hope it goes without saying that all venue staff, wedding guests and food, drinks or entertainment suppliers attending a wedding reception or celebration must be certain that they are not showing any symptoms of COVID-19. Anyone displaying symptoms should stay at home and get tested.
If anyone becomes unwell with symptoms of COVID-19 at a venue they should go home and be advised to follow the stay at home guidance. If they need clinical advice they should go online to NHS 111 (or call 111 if they don’t have internet access). In an emergency, call 999 if they are seriously ill or injured or their life is at risk. They should not visit the GP, pharmacy, urgent care centre or a hospital except for emergency access as above.
People who may have been in contact with a person who has become unwell should wash their hands thoroughly after the interaction, but they do not need to take any other specific action unless they develop symptoms themselves or are advised to do so by NHS Test and Trace. If they do develop symptoms they must follow the stay at home guidance.
